On August 30th, the signing ceremony of the Strategic Cooperation Agreement between the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering and Beijing Xinwei Technology Co., Ltd. was held on campus. This ceremony was presided over by Shi Jinhui, Vice Dean of the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering. Han Duanfeng, Member of the Standing Committee and Vice President of the Party Committee, Liu Yunlong, Chairman of Beijing Xinwei Technology Co., Ltd., Gao Feng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Professor Yang Jun, Director of Extreme Fiber Optic Technology Project, and heads of relevant departments and key laboratories of the college attended the ceremony.

In his speech, Han Duanfeng warmly congratulated the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement. He pointed out that the school attaches great importance to cooperation with Beijing Xinwei Technology Co., Ltd., hoping to open up the technology chain, industry chain, and technological innovation chain through cooperation, build a school enterprise cooperation platform, focus on breaking through the bottleneck technology in the field of fiber optic sensors, actively serve national strategies, promote deep integration of industry, academia, and research, further promote the transformation and implementation of achievements of Harbin Engineering University, and solve practical problems in industrial development.

It is a national high-tech enterprise and a new third edition listed enterprise. Our products and solutions, including fiber optic testing and maintenance equipment, fiber optic sensing systems, and underwater equipment, are located in nearly 100 countries and regions on six continents worldwide, with strong research and development capabilities and industrial strength.

Professor Yuan Yonggui, the leader of the Extreme Fiber Optic Technology project, introduced the construction of the key laboratory of the college and the current research status of related topics. He pointed out that the college has a long-term historical foundation of cooperation with Beijing Xinwei Technology Co., Ltd. Under the guidance of common goals, a deep friendship has been formed. He hopes that through this signing, we can leverage our advantageous platforms, closely connect, and actively take action to promote the high-quality development of the college.

The Party Secretary of the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, Gao Feng, represented the college and signed a strategic cooperation agreement between Beijing Xinwei Technology Co., Ltd. and Harbin Engineering University on "Fiber Optic Sensing Detection Technology" with Chairman Liu Yunlong. During the exchange, Gaofeng pointed out that this signing will be used as an opportunity to open the prelude to deep cooperation between schools and enterprises, fully leverage the advantages of both parties, and establish a close and stable long-term strategic partnership in the research and development and industrialization of fiber optic sensing detection technology, achieving win-win results.
