On the occasion of the 70th anniversary celebration, the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering actively responded to the call of the Party Committee and invited more than 70 well-known experts and scholars from both domestic and foreign industries to enter the campus. They organized various and exciting activities, including academic conferences, master reports, lectures on scientific research and talent cultivation, and so on. They presented a warm atmosphere to the school's celebration and showcased the school's style. The comprehensive office, science and technology office, talent training office, academic affairs office, young teachers and others have silently contributed, providing support for the successful hosting of the event.

  From August 24th to 29th, Professor Elfed Lewis from Limerick University in Ireland presented multiple academic reports to teachers and students, introducing the latest developments in fiber optic sensors and important achievements of the Limerick University Fiber Optic Sensing Center.

  On August 27th, the first meeting of the second academic committee of the "Fiber Integrated Optics" Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education and the first meeting of the first academic committee of the "Marine Photonic Materials and Device Physics" Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology were successfully held. The academic exchange in the field of optical fiber technology has broadened the academic horizons of teachers and students.

  On August 29th, Professor Yuan Libo gave a lecture on "Exchange and Sharing of National Natural Science Foundation Application Experience" for college teachers, covering the generation of innovative points, application form format, application experience, etc., which greatly benefited teachers.

  On August 29-30, the fifth meeting of the new large-area scintillating glass development cooperation group was held at the school. More than 30 representatives from 11 institutions, including the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, attended the meeting to share scientific research progress and discuss future plans.

  On August 30th, the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Beijing Xinwei Technology Co., Ltd., working together to deepen cooperation and create a new situation of mutually beneficial and collaborative development.

  On August 31st, Professor Grattan, a member of the Royal Academy of Engineering in the UK, was invited to visit the college, providing a wonderful lesson for newly enrolled graduate students in the School of Physics. Professor Grattan was also invited to participate in the School's Innovation and Development Conference and the Chinese and Foreign Principal Forum.

  On August 31st, the "Kuangsheng" Education Fund of the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering was established, mainly to reward outstanding teachers and students of the college, support discipline construction and college development.

  On September 1st, the college invited Academician Cui Xiangqun to participate in the school's innovation and development conference. After the conference, Academician Cui had a friendly conversation with the teachers of the School of Physics and gave a wonderful report to the teachers and students. We hope that graduate students can have high aspirations and serve the major needs of the country.

  On September 2nd, Professor Nathan, a member of the Royal Academy of Engineering, visited the college, and Professor Ren Jing, on behalf of the college, had in-depth exchanges on the research direction and future cooperation between the two sides.

  On September 4th, Professor Yuan Libo held a symposium with doctoral students to share valuable experiences in cultivating innovative thinking, exercising scientific research abilities, analyzing research results, and writing papers. They answered graduate students' questions and resolved their confusion at different stages.
