In order to further strengthen students' awareness of laboratory safety, effectively prevent laboratory safety accidents, and ensure safety and stability, the College of Physics and Optoelectronics Engineering held a "life first, safety First" laboratory safety education activity on the afternoon of April 19. The activity invited the security Department Wang Jianfu, Zhang Guodong, Huang Guoqing and other teachers to conduct safety education for students respectively, the vice president of the college Zhang Yu presided over, all the teachers and students of the college participated in the activity.
With the theme of "Cherish life, care about safety", Wang Jianfu conducted safety production management training for teachers and students; Zhang Guodong explained and taught the effective methods of laboratory safety prevention and management in detail; Huang Guoqing started from the school fire case and introduced the basic knowledge of fire safety and measures to prevent fire in detail. Through the lectures, teachers and students not only mastered the basic knowledge of safety protection, but also improved the level of consciousness and concept, and changed the wrong idea that safety work is "everyone to find faults" in the past.
Subsequently, the college organized a laboratory fire safety emergency evacuation drill. When the fire alarm sounds, all teachers and students keep in mind the essentials of escape, cover their mouths and noses with their sleeves, bend down, and evacuate to the campus emergency refuge area in a safe and orderly manner according to the prescribed route. In his concluding speech, Vice President Zhang Yu stressed that we must "be aware of danger in times of safety" and always have a sense of safety. It is hoped that through this activity, teachers and students can learn and master the knowledge of fire self-rescue, enhance the awareness of fire safety, and know how to better protect themselves when in danger.
