On October 28, the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering held the Graduate Students' Excellent Achievements Exchange and Evaluation Conference in Conference Room 212 of the Science Building. Meng Ting, Secretary of the Party Committee of the school, attended and delivered a speech. The event aimed to ignite academic enthusiasm, stimulate the spirit of innovation, and promote in-depth exchanges and cooperation across various research directions.

In her speech, Meng Ting stated that the school has implemented the university's educational philosophy of "Five Persistences and Five Emphases," highlighting "academia as the soul and interdisciplinary integration" in graduate training. He expressed hope that with this excellent achievement evaluation as a new starting point, the students will continue to burst with high-level innovative vitality, exchange ideas and make progress hand in hand in broader and deeper academic exchanges, and inject a steady stream of momentum into the high-quality development of the school.

Professor Chen Yujin, Professor Ren Jing, Associate Professor Chai Quan, Distinguished Associate Professor Ren Bin (attending online), and Associate Professor Ren Yongzhi were specially invited as judges for this evaluation conference. Fourteen graduate students from cutting-edge research directions including scintillating glass, metamaterial physics, new energy batteries, and optoelectronic sensing delivered on-site presentations, sparking enthusiastic discussions. These exchanges not only facilitated intense collisions of academic ideas but also provided an excellent platform for graduate students to solve research challenges and seek potential collaborators. Following rigorous voting by the judges, 10 achievements stood out and were awarded the "2025 Graduate Students' Excellent Achievement Awards of the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering."

The successful holding of this graduate academic exchange and evaluation conference has further boosted the vitality of the academic atmosphere and comprehensively improved the quality of graduate training. The School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering will continue to strive for cultivating high-level talents with innovative capabilities and international perspectives, contributing wisdom and strength to the country's scientific and technological progress and social development.
