On September 24th, at the invitation of Professor Zhang Yang from the school, 6 undergraduates and postgraduates from the University of Oxford, Imperial College London, and the University of Cambridge visited the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, engaging in an international academic exchange with teachers and students of the school.
During the event, Professor Ren Jing and Associate Professor Zhou Renlai delivered special reports respectively, introducing the latest progress in fields such as scintillating glass preparation and fiber-integrated optics. Associate Professor Liu Xiaoyu gave an introduction to the university. Students from overseas universities also shared their research achievements in medical optics, quantum physics, and other directions. After the reports, all participants visited the Key Laboratory of Fiber Integrated Optics of the Ministry of Education together, where Associate Professor Qin Yifan introduced platforms such as intelligent imaging, micro-nano processing, and fiber optical tweezers.
This activity provided an opportunity for the school's postgraduates to communicate face-to-face with students from top international universities, further broadening their academic horizons and laying a solid foundation for subsequent scientific research cooperation and talent cultivation. Taking this as an opportunity, the school will continue to advance the "Global Partnership Program" in depth, invite more teachers and students from world-class universities to visit and exchange, and strive to build a high-level international talent training platform.
