To continuously advance the implementation of the "Five Insistences and Five Emphases" school-running principles, the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering held the 2025 Spring Semester Work Summary Report Meeting in Conference Room 212 of the Science Building on July 14. The meeting fully reviewed and summarized the school’s work progress in the first half of the year and clarified the work objectives for the next stage. All members of the school’s leadership team, heads of various grassroots academic organizations, secretaries of Party branches, and heads of various school-affiliated offices attended the meeting to jointly review work, analyze problems, and plan for the future.

Zhang Yu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean of the School, Liu Lijing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Jiang Haili, Song Mingzhao, Jin Lei (Vice Deans), and Zhang Xiaojun, Assistant Dean, respectively combined their respective divisional work, and systematically summarized and reported the completion of various work in the first half of the year in accordance with the 2025 Target Responsibility Letter for Improving the School-running Level of the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering and the 2025 Key Work of the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering. They also conducted in-depth analysis of the problems and shortcomings existing in the work, and put forward improvement plans and implementation measures.

After listening to the reports, Liu Zhihai affirmed the achievements of the school and expressed gratitude to all the teachers for their hard work. He put forward work objectives based on the principles of "strengthening organized scientific research, teaching innovation, and echelon construction" for disciplines construction, education and teaching, talent cultivation, team building, scientific research, international cooperation, and the cooperation between the Qingdao team and the headquarters. He comprehensively promoted the implementation of the school's annual development plan of "land-sea linkage and opto-acoustic coordination", and jointly formulated specific indicators and implementation plans for the autumn semester with each responsible person. In the follow-up, he will firmly implement these plans to ensure that all work achieves practical results.

At the end of the meeting, Meng Ting emphasized that the entire school should be based on the actual work, adhere to the combination of problem-oriented and goal-oriented approaches, and advance all work steadily with the spirit of "hammering in nails". Taking the study and education of the spirit of the Central Eight-point Regulation as an opportunity, strengthen responsibility, pay close attention to implementation, and improve efficiency. The leadership team and school-affiliated departments are required to give full play to their leading role, strengthen service connection, and at the same time, call on each center to strengthen coordination and cooperation, seize the critical period of the summer vacation, pool development forces, and provide new impetus for the high-quality development of the school.
