On June 17, Mou Daofu, Dean of the School of Continuing Education, and his delegation visited the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering. They held discussions and exchanges with the School’s leaders on the high-quality development of non-degree continuing education. Centering on the theme of “resource integration, platform construction, and social service” and focusing on the mission of university education, the two parties jointly explored a new mechanism for the in-depth integration of continuing education and professional education, and promoted the building of an innovative ecosystem featuring “complementary advantages, collaborative education, and lifelong learning”.

Mou Daofu first introduced the specific situation of the non-degree education programs at Harbin Engineering University. He covered the programs' origin, development history, current scale and influence, and elaborated on the characteristic themes of the non-degree education programs. These themes are closely aligned with social needs and industry frontiers, providing highly valuable learning content for participants.

Liu Zhihai put forward ideas focusing on science education and innovating youth science popularization. The two parties held discussions around basic science popularization, exploring the development of a science popularization resource database, designing interactive science popularization courses and experimental projects suitable for teenagers, as well as ideas for the construction of science education in primary and secondary schools in Longjiang. Both parties agreed that non-degree education is of great significance in improving the quality of social talents and serving local economic development, and this cooperation will bring broader development space for both sides.

At the end of the meeting, the School of Physics and the School of Continuing Education signed a cooperation agreement, pressing the "start button" for the two parties to carry out non-degree education cooperation through resource integration. In the future, the School of Physics and the School of Continuing Education will maintain regular cooperation, carry out study tours and non-degree education training by leveraging complementary advantages, and jointly promote the high-quality development of the university’s continuing education.
