On October 25, 2024, the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering held a postgraduate academic exchange and evaluation meeting in Room 4107, Building 21. The core objective of this academic exchange was to stimulate the spirit of academic innovation, ignite the research enthusiasm of postgraduate students, and promote exchanges and cooperation in different research fields.
Postgraduate students from various research directions in the school demonstrated their latest achievements and unique insights in academic exploration through excellent reports and in-depth discussions. This exchange and evaluation meeting specially invited Professor Liu Jianlong, Associate Professor Huang Yu, Associate Professor Yan Feng, and Associate Professor Liu Yuping to form an exchange evaluation committee to conduct exchanges and evaluations on the submitted research achievements. After evaluation, the research achievements of 11 students won the Outstanding Achievement Awards of the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering. These award-winning achievements covered multiple cutting-edge scientific fields such as metamaterial physics, new energy batteries, and photoelectric sensing.
Ren Yongzhi, the assistant dean of the school, participated in this exchange and evaluation and delivered a speech. Ren Yongzhi emphasized the important position of academic exchange in postgraduate education and encouraged students to actively participate in academic exchanges and bravely express their academic viewpoints and ideas. The students had a heated discussion in the achievement exchange session. These discussions not only promoted the intense collision of academic ideas but also provided an excellent platform for postgraduate students to solve research problems and find cooperation partners.
