Around May 23, 2024, Ji Yaofang, a member of the Party Working Committee and the deputy director of the Party Committee of Wuxi Airport Economic Development Zone in Jiangsu Province, and others came to the college for inspection and exchanges.

Ji Yaofang and his party visited the Key Laboratory of "Fiber Integrated Optics" of the Ministry of Education and gained an overall understanding of the college's scientific research work and achievements.

Subsequently, Gao Feng, the Party secretary of the college, Shi Jinhui, the vice dean, Professor Chen Yujin from the Micro-nano Photoelectric Materials and Devices Research Group, and teacher representatives held a discussion and exchange with Ji Yaofang and his party.

At the symposium, Gao Feng extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation from Wuxi Airport Economic Development Zone. He introduced the basic information such as the development history and scientific research platforms of the college, hoping that both sides could increase interactive exchanges in the future and promote the in-depth integrated development of school-local industry-education.

Ji Yaofang introduced the basic situation of Wuxi Airport Economic Development Zone to the participants. The development zone has a strong regional advantage. It is a provincial-level development zone approved by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and is an important scientific and technological innovation base and an engine for transformation and development in Wuxi City.

After listening to the detailed introduction of the "New Devices for Green Hydrogen Production" project by Professor Chen Yujin from the Micro-nano Photoelectric Materials and Devices Research Group, Ji Yaofang fully affirmed the scientific research strength and talent cultivation advantages of the college.
