On May 25th, 2024, the 47th Track and Field Sports Meeting of Harbin Engineering University was held at the North Stadium, with a total of 37 teams from the school competing on the field.

The College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering participated in various events such as the men's and women's crotch pass in the faculty mass event, the men's shot put, the men's 100-meter, 200-meter, and 800-meter races in the postgraduate men's group. Liu Yang won the third place in the men's shot put in the faculty group; Li Wenhao won the fourth place in the men's 800-meter race in the postgraduate men's group; the school achieved the fifth place in the men's and women's crotch pass.
